Dial a Ride

To use the Dial a Ride services you must be a member of the organisation. You may join by paying the driver when you first travel on the bus. Your driver will have the membership form for you. You may also download a form from the Membership page if you wish.

GREEN DRAGON DIAL-A-RIDE SERVICES

Here are two new Dial a Ride Services for 2008

The Green Dragon Connect Service to Cardigan & Narberth
This service runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays

The Cardigan Town Rider
This service runs on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.

Our regular Dial-a-Ride services still run as before:-

Monday: approx 08.30 Tegryn - Mynachlogddu - Maenclochog - New Moat - Clarbeston - Clarbeston Road - Narberth. Return from Narberth approx 12 noon.

Wednesday: Tegryn / Mynachlogddu to Cardigan.
Mynachlogddu at approx 9.30 a.m. and head across to Tegryn and then continue into Cardigan. Returning from: Tesco’s via Finch Square (opposite the Church). If anyone needs to be picked up in the centre of town then please organise this with the driver before you get off the bus.
Return time is at the discretion of the driver after talking to the passengers present on the day to ensure they all have time to do their shopping.
This is what is meant by a "Flexible" service!

HOW DOES DIAL-A-RIDE WORK?

You are a member of the PRTA, or you will join on your first trip (as mentioned above).
You telephone the booking number

0845 6860242

You press the correct request number & will be put through to the relevant department.

It may be the Council Transport dept., or an answerphone at the PRTA, or in the case of the walkers bus, the driver.

They will note down who you are, where you wish to go etc. They then pass that information on or give a list of passengers to the driver at the start of the service. The whole point is that you book it in advance, you will be picked up from your door, & delivered home afterwards.

There are one or two services that use a more flexible booking system, such as the Walkers Bus where you will telephone the mobile phone used by the driver. This means that you are very likely to get the answerphone but it does enable you to book whilst the driver is on the road.
