3/3/10, The Preseli Hills Bus timetable has just been announced for the summer 2010 & this year there will be a

NEW SERVICE

The Gwaun Vally Bus will connect Fishguard with Bwlch Gwynt via the Gwaun Valley.

This will enable passengers to connect from Haverfordwest to Fishguard, & then up onto the Preseli Hills for a days walking, & then head home again, all without a car!

The Preseli Hills bus will also run later in the day this year to give passengers that extra chance to stay out longer if they wish to make use of the longer summer daylight hours.

We hope you will use the service & enjoy this valuable new addition to the timetable of Pembrokeshire's buses

19/2/10 A VIP was in the area recently; Jane Davidson AM is Minister for the Environment, Sustainability and Housing, & on behalf of the Cabinet she leads on Climate Change and Sustainability. She visited the Cymdeithas Cwm Arian Association & was a passenger on Green Dragon II which is our veg-oil bus.

28/1/10 In conjunction with Hanes Llandudoch we will be running a New Dial-a-Ride service to the local provision market held at The Coach House, Llandudoch on Tuesday's, 10-1p.m.& also to the Craft Market held on the last Saturday in the month at the same venue (click for details)

27/1/10 The Wexford Naturalists Field Club visited Pembrokeshire last September & were so pleased with the service supplied by the Green Dragon mini-bus & it's wildlife guides that they have booked to visit twice in 2010. It is good to be appreciated!

22/1/10 Thank you to all our passengers for their patience during the recent bad weather. This week we have managed to run a full week of normal services, & we rather hope the worst of the winter weather is behind us. Mind, that's very much "fingers crossed"!

14/1/10 The council have dug out the Tegryn to Crymych road (pic above), which is now passable with care, so we hope to run a service into Cardigan on Friday 15th Jan.

One can only praise the hard work of the council workers, contractors, gritter lorry drivers & all those people who have worked so hard to open the road.

7/1/10 For anyone not sure of the conditions on the road these are two pictures (above) taken between Tegryn & Crymych. We can only apologise once again to all our passengers.

5/1/10 The PRTA have cancelled their services at the moment due to the snow & icy conditions on the roads. It is not just because the roads might be too slippery for a bus to use, but the drivers have to get from their homes to Tegryn to collect the bus. The buses use the minor roads most of the time & these tend to be in the worst condition. Our passengers safety is our priority at this time.

21/12/09 The PRTA would like to thank the Cardigan Tesco in-store cafe for the Christmas hospitality extended to their passengers last week.

A Happy Christmas to you all.

7/12/09 It has come to our notice that some people are telephoning the drivers at their home to book a Dial-a-Ride. This will cause problems to the passengers because drivers change & do not deal with bookings etc.

Please telephone the office to ensure you are booked onto the service you require, or for certain services telephone the PCC Transport Dept. Thank you.

30/11/09 Some of you may be aware that the PRTA has been working on a bid to the Big Lottery. Today it was delivered to them at their Cardiff Office by the Co-Ordinator,
Mrs Caroline Wilson (pic above)

8/8/09: The PRTA would like to assure you that the phone number for our office is still

0845 6860242.

It appears that an office supply company in London is advertising our number as theirs. We hope they will change their advertising soon.

The AGM was held on 1st June in Cafe Beca

Pictured above; The PRTA is very grateful to the Big Lottery for funding one of our buses & we had a visit from Nia Jones from that fund. Here she is with a satisfied group who are regular users of the Cardigan Town Rider (right).
The PRTA try out all sorts of vehicles to ensure we obtain vehicles well suited to our area and our passengers. Here they view and test drive an electric people carrier.

Green Dragon III is lottery funded; Our grateful thanks to them!
